Application Development Engineer (German Speaking) - SEM

We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for an Application Development Engineer. The role is a permanent position based Bern Canton & comes with some home office allowance.

Your Role:

• Implement new & existing products in a configurator solution, including selection logic, bills of materials, quotation texts, pricing logic & 3D representation.
• Collaborate with different departments & clarify orders.
• Further develop tools, assist with adaptations, expand existing solutions.
• Support & develop interfaces (such as SAP Integration Suite) & applications.
• Build & maintain interfaces between different applications.
• Provide support in the testing & release of new software versions.
• Handle support requests.

Your Skills:

• From 1 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar function, ideally including experiences in Application Engineering.
• Skilled & experienced in Programming & Scripting, for example with Python, Groovy, Java or MATLAB.
• Any Application experience with SAP is considered a plus.

Your Profile:

• Completed University Degree in the field of Computer Science or similar.
• Self-motivated, structured & strong abstract thinking skills.
• Fluent German language skills (spoken & written) to at least B2 level as well as a good command of English are both mandatory requirements. Any French language skills or the ability to understand Swiss-German are considered advantageous.
